I homeschool our Niko and did not have to do anything except let our 
school know that I intended to home school. He has an IEP from former 
school, but once you pull your child from the program, then obviously 
the IEP is no longer applicable, nor needed. You do not need an IEP 
for homeschooling. Now if you want to dual enroll, then you will need 
an IEP that is ammended to fit the dual enrollment status. That way 
you are able to access speech services and a teacher of the deaf for 
whatever it is that you desire. Now keep in mind, that not all 
schools, or school districts are as home-school friendly as others. 
We have been lucky here in Idaho to experience nothing but 
cooperation in regards to dual enrollment.
Idaho has no laws governing home schoolers. You technically do not 
even have to do the bi-annual state required testing if you do not 
want to. In Oregon I am told that you have to notify your local 
school that you are homeschooling and you ARE required to participate 
in yearly testing, but other than that you are pretty much left 
alone. Perhaps someone here is from Oregon that can elaborate. (We 
may be making a move to Oregon soon so I would really like to hear 
more about homeschooling there. <grin>) My friend who lives in 
northern California does not need to participate in testing. (Neither 
is she a liscensed teacher, btw..???

Currently, Ning has two primary business models. One allows users to create a network for free, in exchange for the network hosting ads that Ning supplies. According to TechCrunch, the uptake of Ning hasn’t been as great as it could be. It requires a knowledge of web programming, lacks the scalability of an open API, and can only be hosted on Ning’s servers.^[8] After hitting 100,000 social networks, TechCrunch revised its forecast^[9] and Ning has been called “fast-growing”.^[1] Currently, Ning hosts more than 185,000 networks.^[10]
