The challenge when auto cropping an image is that a computer doesn’t have the eye of the photographer so doesn’t know what is important in the picture. Viva Makes It EASY!!!

I write my post. It can be anything you like…. Then, I want to add an image as a thumbnail….  I don’t have to think about custom fields…. I simply use the built in WP upload facility to add an image….. DONE…. and yes - I am DONE!

 I PUBLISH my post and VIVA does all the work for me.  It resizes and crops my thumbnails from the source file, saves them to a cache for re-display…. Leaving me to get on with writing the next blog post!

When attaching an image to a post, aim for an original image that is at least 640 x 480 pixels  - that way your thumbnails will be created with good resolution.

Viva resizes and crops on the fly then saves a copy of the new thumbnails to a cache to save server power on the next display.
