NEW!! ~Yahoo Members Map Plugin~

Screenshot Yahoo Members Map:

WP 2.0 or above
A Yahoo Map ID (get one here) (get it here)
30 seconds to install it!

One click plugins are the ones I like so when pulling together bits and pieces from other plugins to create this it had to be a simple install.

Download the ZIP - add the plugin file to your plugins folder - ACTIVATE
For advanced editing functionality you will need to update three core wordpress files (included in the zip)

Once you have activated the plugin just create a new page and add the tag

<div id=”yahoomapContainer”></div>

Once your Members update their profiles - they’ll appear on the map!

See the Members Map in action HERE - or register for this site and add your own details to get ON THE MAP!

Do you have a version of this that’s meant to fix the yongfook IE problem?

I like the member feature, but I’m actually just using it to tag posts to locations just like the original plug-n-play-google-map. Would love to see the updated version of it, but there hasn’t been any development on that site. Thanks!

What is the IE problem with yongfook?

I did tweak the code around a bit but mainly for presentation of the pop ups. (Wanted to thumbnail the images uploaded from ImageManager.)

I have the geo tagging working fine in IE - check out

Wow! Really easy to install. Works like a charm!

    Hi Tim,

I noticed you stated on the Yongfook site that you had fixed the IE issue (which I have noted) and that you have a zip file available for download concerning the images thumbs.. I don’t seem to be able to locate this file.

I did try your fix, but to be honest I’ve hacked about the code so much trying to get it to work that it won’t even display now.

It would be great if you have a packaged version of yours I could start a fresh with.

Sorry Darren - try again now - I put the wrong domain extension.

Thanks Tim, I’ve installed everything, all went well. I even installed imagemanager (new version) which is fantastic, I’m really glad you mentioned that.

But, alas I have the same issue, I created a page, checked the slug settings and the code, had rich editor turned of.. everything to a tee, yet still no joy.

From having the page appear with the IE error (which thanks to your fix should have solved this) I have nothing at all on the page.

I’ve gone over everything I can think of, I can’t help but think it’s something I have just looked over rather than a major issue.

I wouldn’t normally ask anyone this, but we are travelling for 12 months in a couple of weeks and I just want to get this sorted. If I gave you admin access would you just take a quick look see just incase it is something very simple.

Thanks Tim for your assistance and taking the time to look into the issue for me. Although it was all down to a minor Typo I wouldn’t have seen it for looking.
